Ex2007 --> Ex2010 Licensing Q
Hello mates! A customer asked me a licensing question yesterday. They have heard that if you run Exchange 2007, you are fine to run two Exchange 2010 because the lack of LCR in E2010. I can´t find anything about this anywhere. Advice appreciated! /MrSwEMrSWE

This is not correct. You will have to license every Exchange server instance (so any server that has Exchange server installed).Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

The only things that's close to this are SA Agreement, if they have a valid agreement they are able to upgrade to the newest version The initial claim is not correct. http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2010/en/us/licensing.aspxJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi MrSWE, I would suggest you make a call to MS directly about license question. In the United States, call (800) 426-9400 to speak to a Microsoft representative. In Canada, call (877) 568-2495.Frank Wang
